Basingstoke and Deane Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan

Hampshire County Council (HCC) and Basingstoke and Deane Borough (BDBC) want to invest in walking and cycling facilities.

A draft Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) has been developed by Hampshire County Council, Sustrans (a charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle) and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

To develop this plan Hampshire County Council  talked with local people such as cycling groups, schools, councillors, community groups and members of the public and analysed information on the way people move around the Borough.

Hampshire County Council are now seeking your views on the routes and walking areas in the draft plan. This will also help prioritise cycling and walking improvements of the Borough. Please give your feedback by visiting the consultation website.  You will find three short surveys, which will take a few minutes each:

  • Walking Areas (Zones) tile,
  • Cycling Routes (Network) tile,
  • Use the Interactive Map to tell us your experiences of roads and areas

These surveys close at midnight on 4th September 2022.
