Over the last year or so, Bramley Parish Council has seen an increase in the fly tipping of garden waste, particularly in areas such as Bramley Green and the Cinder Track. This has led to unexpected expenditure for both the Parish Council and Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council in getting such tipping removed.
With this in mind, we would strongly recommend that anyone with garden waste they need to dispose of take it to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Wade Road in Basingstoke – we appreciate the current appointments system makes this more awkward than usual. Appointments can be booked online here: https://www.hants.gov.uk/wasteandrecycling/recyclingcentres/book-appointment
Alternatively, please consider joining the Borough Council Garden Waste collection service – this will allow you to gather your garden waste in one bin, which will then be collected once a fortnight by the Borough Council. Further details about the scheme can be found here: https://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/gardenwaste
Should you see any fly tipping anywhere in the parish, whether it is garden waste or any other sort of fly-tipping, please report it here: https://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/flytipping
