The Government Planning Inspector has reached a decision for planning application 20/03403/FUL, for the installation of a large solar farm at Minchens Lane. The Inspector concluded that ‘the proposal would make a material and early contribution to the objective of achieving the decarbonisation of energy production and that to allow the proposed solar farm would not conflict with the objectives of relevant development and national planning policy when taken as a whole.’ The full decision notice can be viewed here.
